Not receiving Facebook notifications

I did the One UI 3 (Android 11) update on my S10 last week and ever since I have not been receiving Facebook notifications. I have tried just about every suggestion on Google... I've checked push and notification settings on Facebook and on my phone, cleared the cache, rebooted, etc.  Facebook seems to be the only app I'm having problems with. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I depend on my notifications to alert me about activity in some groups that I am in. I'm just about at my wits' end with this! Can anyone help?

When you delete the app from your phone also delete it from the library in your Playstore so your then downloading a fresh copy of the app.

Also log out of the app before doing all this @crr723

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried this but my phone won't let me delete the app entirely because it is considered a system/factory installed app. I am still not receiving notifications from Facebook but all other apps are working fine.

Ah yes for some reason known to Samsung they don't allow the Facebook App to be removed via the normal un installing options !

A person can use other methods from the Playstore i.e package un installers but one must be careful on what you do with these.

Just to check it's not something else like another app on your phone can you try Safe Mode. Put the phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded app's but let's your stock app's keep working. If the issues stop then this highlights a downloaded app as the possible issue. Come out of Safe Mode and start deleting your most recent downloaded app's one at a time until it stops.

If that does not work clear your phone's System Cache Files. Clear your phone's System Cache Files by turning your phone Off and then from a set series of button presses go into the phone's System Files and clear the cache. No information is lost this way. You may need to insert your headphones or hook upto a computer with your data cable to get to this menu on the phone.

If it's vital you get these notifications then consider a factory reset after backing up and removing any relevant sd card.
