New Burst Feature is Terrible

I went from and S8+ to an S10+ almost exclusively because of the burst function. On the S8+, i could burst by holding the shutter button down, I could burst by holding the volume keys dow, and I could burst with a remote . I use burst every day for action shots, always. NOW you can only burst by pressing the shutter button and swiping down. This new way is awkward, and is more difficult to do "on the fly". What's worse, is remote shutters won't trigger burst now, and the volume keys won't burst, also. I feel like I purchased a phone, and while it was in my hands, Samsung switched my camera with a lesser one. Can I switch back to the original way a burst shot functioned?

Unfortunately you can't revert back to the previous way @JoesPlace

I'd suggest to send feedback via your Samsung Members App.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Removing the option to take a burst shot via the volume button is a big step backwards in useability.

Used to be i could launch the camera via double tap power with my finger then immediately thumb the volume button to start the burst capture.  Very easy, don't even have to look at the screen or touch anything.  Could even do this wearing gloves.

Now with the stupid slide shutter button to burst I have to look at the screen and properly coordinate a slide.  Further, if i hesitate on the shutter w/o sliding it starts taking a video even tho the selected mode is photo (this is really dumb).

The other problem with forcing the user to touch & slide to burst is it is to easy to fat finger a mode change since Samsung copied the stupid mode slider from iphone.

I experience the exact same problem. It is hit or miss with the swipe. I'll think I'm shooting a burst, but all I got was a single photo. Or worse, like you said, it switched to video mode. I feel like I bought a phone, and when I wasn't looking, they swapped it with an inferior product. I really feel like I should get a refund.

Unfortunately,  I have the completely opposite problem - my camera will only take a burst shot. I don't even need to touch the button... as soon as I hold the camera up, it starts taking the burst shot (100 pics!). I have no "take a picture" option in camera settings anymore.... its disappeared.  I don't want to take a burst shot, I want to take A photo like I used to be able to. I've tried to reset the camera and that works for a couple if shots then it just reverts back to taking burst shots. I feel my camera is now useless.Screenshot_20210601-180247_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20210601-180315_Camera.jpg
