My phone frequently shows no service. After asking handset configuration it suddenly shows no service. I tried even factory data reset. I want to know whether it is hardware problem or software problem

@Sree1: Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. Can you confirm the exact error message that you're seeing, and where you're seeing it? When starting up the device, can you see your network in the top left corner of the lock screen? In the meantime, please try removing the SIM from the tray and giving the gold contacts a wipe with a clean dry cloth to see if this helps. Then, head to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Select Automatically, to see if this helps.

@AndrewL I tried all the troubleshooting methods. Still shows not registered on network. After switch on the phone initially it shows signal. But it goes when I start dialling. I want to know is that a hardware problem or software problem.? How much will it cost to repair?

And one thing also all these happened after I changed my sim card jio to bsnl sim.

As a process of elimination @Sree1 can you try your sim card in another phone  ?

This will help to rule out your sim card or phone at issue.

You could also try resetting your network settings in the phone.

A Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
