The message app used to have the option to insert basic emoji (heart, smiley face, etc.)---there was a key with a smiley face that I pressed.
However, recently, that option has disappeared. I did notice a smiley face icon in the text box, so today, I pressed it to see what would happen. I got a message to download emojis so I did, thinking I would get back the default ones. However, I got rabbits and other creatures, some moving, some static.
1) How do I uninstall these?
2) How do I get back the default, simple smiley face, heart, etc,?
Galaxy S10e
message app version 12.1.20.11
Thank you.

OK, I found the problem. When the phone updated, it changed my keyboard. I had set my default to Microsoft Swiftkey, and the latest update had changed it to Samsung's keyboard. In the app settings, Swiftkey was still listed as the default but that wasn't what I was experiencing. A restart fixed it.
