Lost photos AFTER S10+ updated

Okay so im not sure when it happen but over the last few weeks i notice im missing photos from albums in my gallery. I did an update for my S10+ on Jan 7 and Jan 10th. Then i started noticing i was missing photos from different album's.  Abd today i realised a whole album is missing. I think all of my pictures are backed up to my Google account. But that means EVERY photo i ever took got backed up and it would be a pain to te find them.  How could i just lose random pictures then a whole album.  I tried the disk digger, didnt work.....help.

Sometimes glitches can happen which is why it's always best practice to back up before an update @BaileyMarie 

Personally I back up to Samsung Cloud and everytime I take a picture it then auto uploads to Dropbox. I've done this ever since I lost my photos due to a Sd card corrupting. I now prefer not to use Sd cards too !

If the photos have been lost from your phone then theres a good chance it'll stay that way u til you recover them from your back ups.

I can't recommend any recovery programmes as I've never used them and from what I've read most have varying degrees of effectiveness including the programmes a person pays for.

I had the same issue after the update on June 26th. My photos and videos have gone. 

Also, I am having an issue with installing apps, it keeps saying "wait for downloading" but nothing happens.

So I cant even install Disk Digger and try to recover my archive

I wish I had more advice,  but I NEVER could get samsung to deal with this.  There only last option was for me to send my phone to them and be without it for up to 2 weeks.  That's not possible so I never got it resolved.  Disk digger brought back some photos but also bright back stock photos that your phone sometimes saves like pictures from websites when you view the website.  Just always do Google photo back up like everyday.  All my photos are at least they're.  It's less convenient but at least I have them
