I live in another country, my phone does not receive updates because of the wrong region! How do I change it?

If you're using a handset in a region that it was not meant to be sold in then you won't get any firmware updates. No amount of swapping sims, factory resets or visits to the play store will fix that! I guess it's Samsungs way of flipping the middle finger to anyone who dares to try and save a few quid on buying an import.

Go to Sammobile and download the Firmware you need for your region then download ODIN and follow the steps to manually update the phone.

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.
