How I improved galaxy bud sound quality

So I've had these buds for 2 days now, and plenty of time to tinker. I think I've found the optimum sound quality you can achieve.

1. Make sure equalizer within the wearables app is on dynamic.

2. Go to sounds and vibration > advanced sound setting > sound quality and effects > adapt sound and create a new custom profile. I said yes to all.

3. Turn on Dolby atmos from drop down menu. Click the word Dolby atmos and click music settings.

If anyone is thinking their buds are quiet, change the tap and hold to volume control, these are the furthest thing from quiet and I love loud music.

Hope this helps someone.

Footnote, This may not work if "Media volume Sync" is turned on, unless Samsung have changed it in the last year or two

EDIT: My Alternative to @Silcrows very good advice below. However, use the two together and it may be even better?!

Prerequisites:

ACCESS DEVELOPER OPTIONS

Settings > About phone> software information> tap Build Number until you see a pop up (5-6 Times). Backout to the main settings and its at the bottom of the list.

STEPS:

  • Connect Buds
  • Go to Wear app, Set long hold on touch pad to "Volume up/Down"
  • Go to bluetooth settings > 3 Dot Menu > Advanced > Disable "media Volume Sync"
  • Go to Devleloper Options and select "Disable absolute Volume"
  • Insert buds, Play music and hold the Volume up ON THE BUDS
  • Then, Turn volume up on the device

This is as about as loud as they get, but its a marked improvement over stock settings, Mainly because unless you know, turning the volume up on the buds will turn the device volume up, despite the buds not being at their loudest first.

Best Setting in the EQ is, Overall, Dynamic IMO. Bass boost is too Artificial.

Hey!

I agree with the first point, the best option to the wearables app is dynamic.

But I think the dolby atmos is not the best choice here, there is a better combo. I use the noozxoide pro app, it's pretty amazing.

If you use it with earbuds, select the Wireless at the start. I think unique presets are the best, the Unique III digital preset has the most bass in it, really good for electronic music. But there are another presets, you will find the the one it fits your music.

Give it a try :winking-face:

Use this eq settings if you want sollid and smooth bass with notticeable highs

Also make sure ypu have it on soft in the wearble app this way the highs are not overpowering

And if ypu want less bass just treble boost it work well also as it combines the eq

Enjoy.😋😛😎Screenshot_20200221-013005_SoundAlive.jpg

Duuude or guuurrrl whatever you may be, check out Poweramp!! I swear no other music app comes close to the equalizer settings and options this has. It's truly a power house with it's equalizer options. Follow the same instructions he provided except for disabling media sync, same instructions as the original post but also make sure to go into the settings > Audio > Direct Volume Control (DVC) > Enable DVC for Bluetooth. It's a game changer in deep but clear that bass sounds while keeping the treble still high. It's not free but there is a 7 day trial period. Paying for it is not only worth it but well deserved by the developer!! Lemme know what you think!Equalizer (with fantastic presets) + Tone (Bass/Treble) + Limit (Avoid distortion) = Ear OrgasmsEqualizer (with fantastic presets) + Tone (Bass/Treble) + Limit (Avoid distortion) = Ear Orgasms

Make sure DVC is enabled for Bluetooth in Poweramp Setting > Audio > Direct Volume Control (DVC)Make sure DVC is enabled for Bluetooth in Poweramp Setting > Audio > Direct Volume Control (DVC)

Found this to be be the perfect settings for any type of music, could be personal preference lol, the balance between bass and treble is perfect, clarity is off the charts.

Wearable app set on Dynamic.
