How do I add a custom notification sound to Samsung s10e?

I have tried every guide I can find online, and have put the custom sound in the music folder and in the ringtones folder, but I can't find a notifications folder and settings on the default messages / sms app does not allow custom uploads etc. Is this just a blind alley, or is there a fix please?

Hi there plug the phone into a laptop and open the phone just like another hard drive and you should find all the folders you need I put my customised tones into the ring folder and the notification folder I use the s20 ultra 5g hope this helps thanks

Or use app like zedge that's have loads of ringtone and notification sounds
