Previous phones/software had an exquisitly simply way to block keyworks. I was able to eliminate 80% of spam texts by using this.

It's beyond me why they haven't added it back in.

cant block messages without numbers as the option of blocking phrases have been removed, and as these messages dont have any number cant use the block number option as well

It's absolutely unhuman from Samsung to prevent all of this aggressive advertising on easy way, just adding "Block".
I wonder, how much they were payed to remove this feature...
Now you need to suffer, find a work around, spend tonns of your time and frustration.
Whole world in fact, becomes unhuman just with all this commercialism. Then they wonder, why there is an opioid epidemic in US, line no one knows how to prevent it... Shame.

@MS777  Not sure there is such a link between tech companies and the ills in society     Whatever issues  I think technology is generally a positive force though there are doubters, however on to the subject in hand.   As detailed on the previous page the ability to block phrases in Samsung messages was discontinued as was not functioning as intended (with some desired messages being inadvertently blocked), plus spammers were at times  finding a way around it.    Whilst demand for the feature seemed relatively low obviously an issue for some users and Moderators asked developers if they could look into  an alternative.    

Previously some customers mentioned that the Google stock app provided a solution, however I notice that issues have been reported with that recently.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps    Personally I have had not had an issue with spam texts on my S10, though obviously others will have different experiences.

Ive used Samsung for well over a decade but definitely think my next upgrade will be an alternative phone. Not only have i noticed the downgrade of app capabilities but the battery life seems to be getting worse (even with closing all running background apps,battery holds no where near what it should. Leave house 100%.20 mins later lucky if 80%,last a few hrs = no way)

Why should i have to download yet another app for my text messages just to get the features i previously got on lower models of Samsung?(allow me to delete the ***** junk apps you have installed takin up half the room first and i will)  I want to BLOCK all sms messages that have no number just a name which cant be replied to & can only be blocked. There is NO feature to block key words now either. Its like Samsung are aiding in these messages getting through!So have a hayu spam feature for calls but take away the feature for texts hmmmm. So yeah def bye bye Samsung.

It's absolutely shameful that Samsung has not resolved this problem after over a year of customer complaints. They are just not listening, I think this will be the last Samsung purchase for me.

Still waiting the sms functionalities that we had on Galaxy s5 which do not exist S10e.

samsung need to fix this immediately! All s9 devices or later cannot block sms without numbers! Even iphone can block! Shame on us on samsung *****ty android!
