Galaxy S10 SeriesHi there! I've been playing a bit with the wide angle camera today, and I notice a weird bug.
Whether I set the HDR to on or off, pictures always come out with a hdr look.
I take the picture, and if I immediately open it in the camera roll, I see it changing from normal to HDR, as if it gets processed a couple of seconds after being shot. I tried to disable all the image enchantments but the result is the same, an hdr sky that I really do not like.
Only way to have a normal looking picture is to use pro mode, but you can't use it with the wide angle lens... anyone else noticed this issue?

Galaxy S10 SeriesSame here.
I'm soo sad and angry at the same time.
I throw more than 1.000 € down the drain.
How am I supposed to represent my work to my future clients whit this useless camera?? (I'm a makeup artist). I'm going to hire a lawyer because this S*** is too big to let samsung slip away so easily.

Galaxy S10 SeriesYepp, I can confirm that only way to avoid HDR is to use PRO mode. PRO is for main camera only, so no UWA or TELE.
In addition, to avoid every time searching for PRO mode, you can enable: camera > settings > camera modes > "keep using last mode - ON. So you'll have PRO on your quick launch.
I'm starting to think we are not getting this bug fixed any time soon or at all. Maybe with new version of android next year. Or this could be a trick from Samsung for target audience (majority of *****s that thinks HDR is cool, and pictures harshly overprocessed with HDR look good) to dramatically enhance pictures and hide other things.
Vary sad. I have bought my S10 for enjoying triple camera setup and it is useless.

Galaxy S10 SeriesHey Rolly101,
I'm pretty sure - as you said it - it's a trick from Samsung for the target audience and this is why it's almost sure they won't fix this. (Even their Customer Service doesn't see the difference.) And this is why my next phone won't be a Samsung one. I don't like when a company treats me like an *****. That's why I switched from Apple and that's why I'll switch from Samsung soon.

Galaxy S10 SeriesA trick from Samsung to develop a phone with a HDR bug?? ROFLMAO ! Might want to check your tin foil hat or drink the kool aid.

Galaxy S10 SeriesYeah, well Samsung might not want to dissappoint you as a terget audience ROFLMNKDH LOL customer with crapy pictures without HDR, with real world colours, blown out highlights and dark shadow areas, no dynamic range, and etc. That would be rubbish, wouldn't it?

Galaxy S10 SeriesYou are saying Samsung deliberately do not want to fix a bug. Its tin foil hat stuff.

Galaxy S10 SeriesI'm saying it might not be a bug at all. It could be set to apply HDR when needed, even if it is turned off, not to make "rubbish" pictures.. Exactly for zombies like you.

Galaxy S10 SeriesIn 7 months they did NOT detect this bug?? SERIOUSLY?? And if they detected, what are they waiting for??

Galaxy S10 Series@Rolly101 Okay then, don't drink the kool aid.
