Google errors after software update

My Galaxy S10 has been giving repeated errors since updating yesterday.

its now on one UI.3.0 and the most recent patch date is showing as Jan 2021

I am repeatedly getting the error message "Something went wrong with Google try again in the app".  There seems to be little logic as to what causes the error to appear and most of the time there seems to be little effect from the message.  Nothing is consistently not working but I have noticed a few errors.

  • Wifi seems very tempermental often refusing to connect to networks
  • Google Podcasts are behaving weirdly some things play but most trigger the above error and occasionally a second unable to play error.

I have tried multiple restarts and reinstalling a few apps that appear to be triggering the errors such as google podcasts.

Suggestions welcome

did you tried the recovery mode and clear cache method? After UI 3.0 updated it's highly recommended

I wasnt aware recovery mode was a thing, I have had a google and found the instructions (Volume Up, Bixby and Power buttons).

Unfortuantly it wont go into recovery mode just boots into the OS with the error message "PDP Backup :Fail setup wizard [FINISH]"

Ever since One UI 3 was released you now need to connect it to your computer while pressing the buttons to get to recovery mode.
