Hi

Since the latest update on my S10plus I keep getting a notification about Gear VR not being supported and to uninstall it, I press uninstall but it just lists Facebook stuff and says done, but then I have to update Facebook and log in etc, then the next morning the message that it is not supported is back. Anybody know how to get rid of this please?

I also have this issue. When you uninstall it also removes messenger chat app. Is there a way to still have messenger on my samsung?

The Gear Vr Pop-up came back for me once FB Messenger was reinstalled (for me). See  above, I posted a solution that seems to be working.

Any update from Samsung how to fix this?  It's bundled in with the system so third parties can't help.

God, finally someone has the same issue. I keep getting these since some weeks. And everytime I uninstall, it comes back. But there is no Gear VR app in any app listing or on my phone.

Try clearing the data and cache in the FB messenger app.

Same problem here.. can't believe Samsung doesn't care

Stop bundling softwares if you're not offering support!

I followed Jomo63 steps and its working so far.. thanks

And here's the thing - I find nothing at all on my phone related to gear VR. Somebody said that it's associated with oculus so I checked that as well and I don't have any of that on my phone anywhere that I can find. I'm sure tired of this.
