Hi

Since the latest update on my S10plus I keep getting a notification about Gear VR not being supported and to uninstall it, I press uninstall but it just lists Facebook stuff and says done, but then I have to update Facebook and log in etc, then the next morning the message that it is not supported is back. Anybody know how to get rid of this please?

Wow, this is pathetic. Samsung, you need to fix this immediately. Your prompt remove "Gear VR" which no one's ever heard of, also forces uninstall of Facebook Messenger? Seriously, get your stuff together. My next phone won't be a Samsung.

I got the same issue, everytime I restart the phone. I also have now the problem that some app won't update or install anymore.

I uninstalled FB messenger and installed FB messenger LITE. Once l restarted the phone, the Gear Vr message appeared and l clicked on the uninstall link. But, FB messenger LITE was not uninstalled and l can use the app. I'll see how it works out long term and report back.

So maybe l fixed this issue. I have restarted my phone 6 times and no Gear Vr pop up has occured.

1. Restart device

2. Wait for Gear Vr pop up. Click on link in pop up that uninstalls FB messenger.

3. Restart device

4. Install FB messenger LITE from play store

5. Restart device

6. Uninstall FB messenger LITE

7. Restart device

8. Install Facebook messenger.

That worked for me so far. Good luck.
