Galaxy s10 battery drain after latest update August 2020

Hi all 

I updated my galaxy s10 last night and all day today my phone has been overheating and battery is draining extremely fast. I’m cracking up . I remember this happening with my s3 years ago and I swore I’d never buy a  Samsung again and here I am a sucker for punishment!  

Anyways is anybody else having this issue , I have tried previous suggestions from different threads other than doing a factory reset any help would be great fully received

This is happening to me as well, started about two weeks ago.  Reset phone, wiped cache, disabled play services and no other apps running whatsoever.  Checked battery usage and its showing up as 0.5% battery at MAX on the remaining standard apps, yet the actual battery has drained 44% overnight!  Hope its just an update bug!

Same problem here... There is no way to solve it by ourselves!  We'll need to wait for a new software update.

My s10 is exactly the same. I've been wracking my brains to think what I did, deleting apps, changing settings. I'm having to recharge it multiple times a day and I even ordered a powerbank yesterday! Thanks Samsung.

Anyone have any news on this? Where the heck is Samsung? I am having the same issue with battery draining on its own within a couple of hours and getting really hot. This started happening as of this morning when I swapped my sim card and and the message "com.android.phone keeps stopping". This bug needs to be addressed ASAP as S10 is relatively a pretty new phone.

Talked my mom into the S10 last month. Since the update we just had her battery is draining so fast. Did you ever find out a fix or hear anything from Samsung? We are longtime Samsung users and we are ready to part ways over the numerous update issues.

put some unwanted apps to sleep so will not run in background and consume battery/memory even not in use

Settings → Device Care → Battery → 3 dots → enable Put unused apps to sleep // add apps to Sleeping apps

turn off and on the phone

Please should factory reset & don't turn on real-time security then your problem is solved.
