Galaxy s10 battery drain after latest update August 2020

Hi all 

I updated my galaxy s10 last night and all day today my phone has been overheating and battery is draining extremely fast. I’m cracking up . I remember this happening with my s3 years ago and I swore I’d never buy a  Samsung again and here I am a sucker for punishment!  

Anyways is anybody else having this issue , I have tried previous suggestions from different threads other than doing a factory reset any help would be great fully received

My wife and I (S8 and S9) both having the same issue since last night as well. One or two other forums I looked at seem to be a good few people having the same issue.

I’m glad it’s not just me so . It’s so frustrating as it will probably cause damage to the battery permanently . I know previously on my s3 I ended up buying an iPhone as I managed to get an early upgrade at the time. I’m very disappointed! 😫

Hopefully someone from Samsung can give an update on the issue. Some think it is related to the update recently. Very frustrating alright, 3 times today I had to recharge and I did not use it as much as I normally do due to battery issue. The S8 I use is a few years old now and to be fair this is the first issue I have had with it. Hopefully it can be resolved and you can get good use of S10. Best of luck.

mine is the same so annoying phone at 40% and phone only unplugged 2.5 hours

Ever since the last update, the battery had been draining too fast and the overheating especially when using the camera. 

1. Overheating the whole phone while not using.
2. Unable to use the camera for a continuous photoshoot. After 3 - 4 pictures, the phone will overheat and notification would show that the camera is unavailable due to overheating. 
3. The patch describes that had fixed the stability of the camera. But, they haven't fixed and it causes problems.

My humble suggestion. Please do not download and install this update.  Wait for another update from Samsung. It seems this is the way Samsung plays marketing to push customers to grab their new phone.

This is a load of balls. My phone is more or less unusable since the update. If the solution is a factory reset or deleting apps I'm leaving Samsung as I'm not staying with a provider who periodically releases updates to wreck my phone.

I think I have it sorted seems to. e a problem with google play services cleared data and cache last night put the phone into flight mode and charged all seems good now
