I'm based in the UK, got a refurbished s10+ off Amazon that appears to be the US version.

You are not likely to get OTA updates, try Smart Switch for PC and see if you can get updates that way.

Once installed, open Smart Switch, connect your Galaxy S10 using the USB cable that came with the phone, and look for an update prompt on the landing page, next to your device data. If you are outside the region the phone was intended to be used in, then please be aware that this may limit your ability to update the device, due to software variances that exist in our phones from country to country.

I've tried this method and didn't get any update notification. Does this mean I'm never getting upgraded to android 12 even though me and my girlfriend have the exact same phone and she's been upgraded?

How strange @cznove! Can I ask where did you get your phone from? Would you be able to send us the full model code? This can be found in the phone Settings> About phone.

Thanks for that @cznove. It seems that this is a US version, which is why you may not be receiving any updates in the UK/EU. I would suggest taking this to a Support Centre to see if they can install the new version for you. Would there be another possible way? The nearest centre is miles away from where I am as I live in an extremely rural area. I saw some people suggest using SmartSwitch but nothing seems to be showing on there.
