Emergency bypass while silent

Hi everyone,

Just got a samsung s10 after being apple foe ages

One thing i noticed was you can not seem to set texts and calls from priority people to make a sound while on silent

It works in DND mode but not when your set to silent or vibrate

How can i fix this? Is there a setting i am missing or an app that does it?

I have my phone on vibrate or silent a lot but i still don't want to miss messages and calls from certain people

I too would love this feature. My wife is pregnant and her parents are quite a bit older and I run things on Vibrate ALL the time, I don't want to miss her calls or her parents. Maybe make it so favorites automatically sound when on vibrate or silent, or give an option to turn sound favorites  on/off. This has got to be something that can be done.

If the Samsung had this feature you still wouldn't get the call to go through from an unlisted Hospital, unless it's in your phone and you've set this.

Where is the Emergency Bypass in the ringtone section of favourited contacts?

Always coming in second. Maybe you can ask Apple to develop it for you; it is after all such advanced 21st technology never before seen in the history of the earth. 

Maybe Google could help help you out. They did create nifty glasses and a sleek search engine and Android. I bet those chaps know a thing or two about creating a feature in their own operating system.

I am a long time Android Galaxy owner and unfortunately I will be switching to an iPhone because this feature is not available.  My phone is paid off in 3 months, that's how long you have to put this feature in to match the iPhone capability before I leave (probably for good).

EXACT SAME .. just had an instance of missing a call from my mom saying she's taking my dad to the hospital which is why I'm not on here trying to find a better way than DND ass the OP stated I like to have my phone in silent or vibrate primarily so your DND option really isn't best for me. PLEASE FIX THIS so I don't have to switch to an Apple phone 😕
