Edge bar disappears when notification received

I've noticed since the new update that if I am using my phone (so unlocked), as soon as a notification message pops up at the top of my screen, the edge bar disappears so I cannot swipe to open the edge menu. 

Any one else have this issue, do I need to change a setting?

Hey @Letshighfive! What device are you using? Can you send a video of this happening? Try also doing a Soft Reset by holding the Volume Down as well as the Power buttons for 10 seconds and make sure the device is running on the latest software version.

Galaxy S10, and the issue appeared when I installed the latest updates a week or two ago.
Have tried restarting but no help.
