Cursor jumping while texting

Hi hopefully someone can help. I've had my s10+ since launch and everything has been perfect but all of a sudden over the last few days whenever I start writing a text the cursor keeps jumping to the beginning. I've tried clearing data and cache, even installed gboard but didn't help and it's so frustrating. Only seems to happen while in messages, tried in browser, Samsung note, WhatsApp and all is fine.

I have an s8 and has been doing this for the longest time as well. It drives me insane with how many times I have to correct it. I always thought it was shotty connection because no one else I know has the issue.

Mine has been doing the all the time ever since I got my Galaxy fold , only it jumps to the end. It is infuriating!  Talk to text also doesn't seem to understand the comma command anymore, and  Instead of making a comma, tends to write come out or come on instead.  Equally as frustrating and infuriating!

Just read your post because I was having a similar problem. But luckily was able to reach a solution.  You have to reset your keyboard under General Management > Samsung keyboard settings  > Reset keyboard settings. Hope this helps if you're still having the issue. My phone is an S20+.

I came here looking for help for the same issue. When i saw all that everyone tried i got scared realizing I'd never fix this. Casually mentioned it to my non-technology-savvy hubby who said to restart the phone. Lol, problem solved!

I've tried all of the suggestions with no luck, this issue only happens when I use samsung chat and I suspect it has more to do with the network connection.  I give up

Mine has just started doing this. How did you fix it please?

Mine has been doing this If I go back to fix a word. I try to delete a letter and it deletes the last letter I typed. So I'll have to delete everything up to that point to fix it. I have a s21 ultra.
