Cursor jumping while texting

Hi hopefully someone can help. I've had my s10+ since launch and everything has been perfect but all of a sudden over the last few days whenever I start writing a text the cursor keeps jumping to the beginning. I've tried clearing data and cache, even installed gboard but didn't help and it's so frustrating. Only seems to happen while in messages, tried in browser, Samsung note, WhatsApp and all is fine.

I tried everything here including rebooting my phone, but gave up in frustration to try again later. Then I shut off my phone overnight and this morning it is working. Maybe it needed a good night’s sleep before rebooting! (But so far, it is working!)

Same thing on my Note 10. It gets better somehow then goes back. I am thinking of resetting back to Factory.

My husband and I had mixed results with this (both S8's).  For mine I did a factory reset, which didn't solve the problem, so I traded for a new phone.  We did the factory reset on his, and it solved the problem at least for now.

I have a Galaxy Note 8, so does my husband. We both have off and on experienced this frustrating issue. Both have different cases, but thought maybe try this. The reset plainly states that it does not affect the keyboard setting, so this is not a fix for us.

What's the point in having a phone that swipes, if you can't use it? Still not a good fix. Samsung needs to get this right or we'll be switching to another brand for the first time in 20 years

I've looked and looked for the grammar check and can't find it anywhere on my Note 8. Where is it hiding at?

Did any of you notice the battery draining faster when this started?  That's my biggest problem.  It's going down 10-20% per hour.

I googled solutions but none of them worked. 

I read somewhere in this thread about resetting my keyboard.  I tried that and it appears to have worked
