I have the Galaxy S10+ 5g, and the burst shot, when pressing and holding the shutter button, is now just video. When I go into settings there is no option to set for burst or anything.

Thx for informing me. Samsung helpdesk wanted me to do a factory restore !!! ???

I'm wondering if they didn't grasp what you were wanting help with.
Unfortunately although a Factory Reset is a good troubleshooting option it wouldn't have helped in your case @RaoulS

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Removing the option to take a burst shot via the volume button is a big step backwards in useability.
Used to be i could launch the camera via double tap power with my finger then immediately thumb the volume button to start the burst capture. Very easy, don't even have to look at the screen or touch anything. Could even do this wearing gloves.
Now with the stupid slide shutter button to burst I have to look at the screen and properly coordinate a slide. Further, if i hesitate on the shutter w/o sliding it starts taking a video even tho the selected mode is photo (this is really dumb).
The other problem with forcing the user to touch & slide to burst is it is to easy to fat finger a mode change since Samsung copied the stupid mode slider from iphone.

for me is a uselss change for the following: 1 they could have still left in the options to do that if you want, removing the press on shutter button to shoot in burst is shut stupid since it was already there and they even had to click to delete that code part, they could have just left it there and everyone would be happy. 2nd if you want to take burst shots is also for an action packed moment for example a corner or water exit at a triathlon race, tap and press=0.2seconds before bursting, slide=1 second if you do it correctly and understands you want to do a burst mode.
Hope they change this very quickly...

This change is terrible is so hard to do it for one in portrait mode. And it's impossible now to do it from landscape mode. There's no legitimate reason to make this change, but at the very least make it an option.

Thank you for the help - I never would have figured this out on my own. I was just trying to take burst shots of my 18-month-old, and kept getting frustrated when it kept taking videos, even though I was in photo mode. If any actual Samsung staff read this (and I hope they do) - please change it back! This change sucks. I agree with the other user who pointed out that is for taking an action shot - when you have milliseconds to get the shot - and if you waste time trying to figure out your settings, you've already missed it.
