Black Screen when using rear facing camera

Since yesterday I have a problem when using the camera on my phone.

When launching  the camera I am met with a black screen on the 1.0x setting (Two leaves), this is the same if I go to 2.0x setting (One leaf). If I go to 0.5x setting (Three leaves)  the camera is fine, however if I zoom in as soon as it reaches 1.0x the black screen returns. Front face camera is fine.

 I have looked at the camera in a couple of Apps, in Whatsapp the camera and the zoom works fine, however in Facebook, Twitter and Instagram it is black screen again.

I have attempted a reset of the camera app, and opened the phone in safe mode and it is still the same.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Same issue. Just started experiencing today.

Did you ever get this fixed?  It doesn't seem like a hardware issue, but maybe it was.  Don't want to replace the camera and it still happen.

It was an issue with the camera,  the phone had to be sent off to be fixed.
