Bixby Voice Wake-up doesn't work

Bixby no longer unlocks the phone by voice, even tho the setting is on. This has always worked perfectly.

This is a Samsung forum then it must be enough to comment it here.
But in all case, do you know exactly at what site should I report this fact???? It's is not easy to find where to report it.

Also, I think the problem it not only a Samsung problem in origin. I think that it is Google who has removed its unlock option from the Google Assistant when update to Andriod 10. And, in consequence, this option has been removed by Samsung too.

The fact is that for Samsung users Bixby is more convivial to use than Google Assistant . Then Samsung, Google or both should have notified the users this fact when they should try to use Bixby. But nobody has done it. That's not a good style.

Not mentioned anywhere. In my opinion they should have given you a choice. For me, the voice assistant is meaningless. If I have to unlock my phone in the morning and then say tell me what time it is and what the date is or my schedule. Imagine you have to unlock your device every time you command to Alexa or Google home.

Having a disability and when I'm stuck in bed, I relied on bixby voice to unlock my phone and then have the option to open an ap that could check on my security cameras outside. (This is one example)

Android 10 has taken that option away from me!!

Also since I had my S10e I could never get bixby voice to answer ph calls.

I've tried everything that has been mentioned. If there is a youtube vid showing someone answering a call on speaker phone using bixby voice on S10, could they provide a link please.

With my S7 I use to say "Answer Call" and it would answer on speaker phone, when the phone was locked.

Good old S voice use to be usefull in this department!!

Unfortunately I sold my Galaxy S7!!

Bixby voice has been hell for me.

Any latest news on Bixby voice unlocking device??

Hi all,

We've received a reply from the developers:

"Google had enhanced privacy and security on QOS. Due to this reason, we can not support "Voice unlock" according to Google's policy.
Google also not support this feature on Smart Lock as same. But, some specific funtions as call, weather, etc. can be used while screen locked without unlocking. Please use "Bixby Voice settings >> Use while phone locked."

In other words: Bixby Voice Unlock is no longer supported in Android 10/Q; but you can access some specific functions whilst on the lock screen by: Bixby Voice settings > Use while phone locked.
