Is there going to be a January patch for the S10 devices? The battery on standby mode is very poor with the new Android 12 update.

I've attached a graph below showing the battery drain on standby mode with about 6 hours off charge with basically extreme battery saving mode.
No AOD, WiFi, BT, Cellular, NFC, Auto Rotate, Location/GPS and Enchanced Proceccing as well as on 720p res, limited apps, decreased CPU speeds and no biometrics. I still lose about 15% battery!! I even don't understand the sudden battery % drop at the start of this test.

I might do a test with standby battery with all of the features on to see how much more significant the battery drain is on standby.

I've had no battery issues with screen on time - in fact - its actually improved slightly (!?) I do not understand at all.

Please Samsung I know the S10 is basically outdated now but it still gets LTS and I would still like to enjoy this phone to the fullest before upgrading when the S22 is released.

Hi, if you tap the graph you should see a list of apps and their battery usage, please can you upload a screenshot of that? If you haven't cleared system cache in a while, please do this. Lastly, what's your reception like? A poor signal can cause battery drain.

The only thing that shows up is "Discord-Beta" on 0.2% and "Google Play Services" on 0.1%. I haven't cleared the cache at all ever since I got the phone back on android 9 though... not sure how to do that. The reception was not available due to the cellular connection turned off at the time

Hi! Sorry for the delay. To clear cache, connect your phone to a PC then:-

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
  4. An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  6. Press Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Hi, I've tried this and wiped the cache but my battery is still discharging incredibly fast. Like the phone is unusable

Hi, OK let's see what's happening. Go to settings, device care and select battery. You will see a usage graph. If you tap in it you should see a list of apps showing how much battery have used. Please could you post a screenshot of this?

Thanks. I managed to get into the maintenance boot (with USB c in a computer. No other way!) And cleared the cahlche partitions and 'repair apps'. It's better but still fast.
