I am using an SM-G975U with Android 11 and One UI 3.0, my phone won't install an apk from external sources besides the play store or galaxy store. can  get help with this

Maybe the .APK you are installing isn't compatible with your Android version. Perhaps the app cannot install because it only has support for the ARM 32 bit architecture?
What you could do is either find a different .APK file or perhaps you have forgot to enable permissions in order to install 'unknown apps'. Go to Biometrics and Security > Install Unknown Apps then find the app you are using to install the .APK, set the permissions to 'allow'.

I have done that it ends the process with a message saying "app not installed"

Usually that happens because you have files left over from a previous version or download, or if the apk is incompatible with your phone, either the model or version of android and so the installation keeps failing. That's the only reason i ever get failed installs when sideloading apks.
Did you have this app installed in the past? Even from a different source?

Same problem here with the A10S after the update from Android 10 to Android 11 I am unable to install certain downloaded apk files that i used to install without issues on android 10. It seems something has changed on android 11 .

I am on an A6 Plus, Android 10 and same Problem...

I had installed Instagram previously through the Play Store, Now, APK Does not Install. Also, Whenever I Install It Again Through The Play Store, It just goes from Pending -> Installing, It does not show Downloading in between and happens really fast so I Believe that there are some Residue Files From Before but how do I Remove Them?
