Just got last iDrive 7 update  from the dealaer for my BMW X5 2019. It should support Android Auto, but there is no Android Auto menu in my car at all.   On my Galaxy S10 phone it shows connected, but as mentioned there is no Android Auto menu in the car.  Screenshot from the phone: https://snipboard.io/rVOJei.jpg    Does any body had same issue?  Dealer are not able to find the reason.

Don't 100% SURE.
But do you need to set it up with USB cable connection the first time.

You mean in order to have it appear on car's menu I need to connect with USB cable ?  My android auto app on the phone shows it is connected (above is the screenshot URL), even I never connected with cable, just Wifi Direct.

Did you get this working as have the same issue with 2019 BMW 3 Series which was just updated to the new software which now supports AA. My phone call tell AA is now there, but there is no option to launch it in the iDrive app section.

Went to dealer again and they updated the software again and it started to work. I would recommend the same. They told that the issue was that iDrive 7 was not showing the Android Auto menu even the version that was installed supports it.
