Quick access to favourite apps from right of screen

Hi there.  Since the recent update, I cannot remove the greyed out apps from the top of the right hand side screen pull out screen .  Can on the ones underneath.

Any ideas please?

they are not removable, they are just either most recently used or most used apps, so the top four you use always appear there, it is exactly the same on my note 10+

just noticed that if you go back into that edit screen and click the 3 dots there is a recent app switch, just tap that
