Predictive text not showing after latest Android Update Version 10

Hi there, 

 

I have multiple keyboards set in Samsung keyboard -> Languages and types. 

 

The probelm I have, after the most recent update taking place (some week ago now) the predictive text is no longer showing up for russian keyboard. Why? 

 

I have English, UK and Portugese, they both show predictive text above. But not fur russian. This is very frustrating as I relied on this feature a lot when writing emails etc. 

 

Could you please share any suggestions and flag a fault for this. 

 

So far I have tried resetting the keyboard settings and restarting the phone. 

 

This happened after the latest software update.

I uninstall the beta keyboard and now works fine.

No.  It doesn't work as normal.  That wiped out my predictive text completely.

Nothing was working for mine but I've fixed it. 

Click on general management 

Click on language and input

Click on on screen keyboard 

Click on Samsung keyboard neural beta

Click on languages and types

Select your language and update it.

I had the same issue in S10. I cleared my cache and it's working. Please note I did not clear my data only cache

To be honest not everything came back the major thing i was looking at was my email address if the predictive text would have them and it did. I have noticed that for other things that I used to type it does not work like before if i typed Shea it would know the next word is Butter, now it waits for me to type Butte for it to know I mean Butter. It went from been a Smart Phone to a Sassy Phone.

Same problem manifested after latest OneUI 2.1/Android 10 update this week. Followed the above steps. Didn't work.

I called Samsung to discuss this as I did not want to clear my data and they actually had the nerve to tell me that I must have installed the software wrongly.

The clear cache/data solution didn't work for me. Here's how Samsung support solved it for me:

 

- hold power button until power off option appears

- touch and hold power button until safe mode option appears

- restart in safe mode

- go to settings/general management/language and input/on-screen keyboard/Samsung Keyboard/Smart typing

- toggle Predictive test off and then on again

- restart phone in normal mode

 

Problem solved - and new look of latest update clear on home screen too, where it hadn't appeared before.
