Why is DEX not being made wireless?

Having to plug in a cable is better than the old docking station, but still not as good as wireless. I can't see any reason why this is not possible with a chromecast/mirrorcast adaptor. If the only purpose of the station/Adaptor is to transmit the video/audio, then the station/adaptor is unnecessary.

It's about time. I've got the note 10+ 5g 512GB. Ideally it might work with VPN on since I can engage the day where we just use 5g for everything and you set up a VPN for yourself between all your own devices.

Wireless certainly the way forward for the best experience!    However now on the latest devices  devices you just need to connect a USB cable when using Dex on PC.  Just started to use Dex  ocassionally really  and pretty  impressed, though with some apps you do not get the best experience.

I don't understand the benefit if connecting your phone to your oc using Dex. If I have a oc, I'm not using a phone for anything. And I can transfer files without Dex.

I do not see the file Transfer as  a great benefit, but some users may not have great wifi.

But you don't need a Dex situation for file transfer.vyou can just connect and use the file explorer.

really waiting for this feature to happen... wireless dex and bluetooth connected keyboard and mouse for note 10... dream realised ! will surely ditch my laptop if this happens.
