It happened once on my Samsung Galaxy s8 phone which resulted in reformatting so everything was lost.

Like yours it worked ok in other devices and appeared to work after reformatting.

I need up just not using the Sd Card and I have none fitted in my Note 9 now.

I back up to other places as a safe guard.

If you wish to continue with a Sd Card I'd suggest to buy another.

Technology can glitch with accessories being fine with one device and temperamental with others!!

Hi @SithLord, as @BandOfBrothers say's you should format it, if it contains data back that data up in a device it works in to a cloud data such as Google or Windows, then format it. Some devices can use a card without formatting it but Samsung devices in general need it to be formatted :smiling-face: if you are unsure on how to do this let us know.

Oh yeah I know how so that's not a problem,..

Got a new 256gb coming this week so I'll probably go without until then and put this one in another device.

It has been going on for months with the S9, now the Note 9. Ruining many people's SD card photos & contents and Samsung is not acknowledging that there is a problem with their phones. They are blaming it on everyone's SD cards, even if the SD card is Samsung branded! Please skim through this extensive thread

But I don't think it's related..

I'm literally the only person who had this on note and fixed it by removing the android folder off the sd which contained device specific data off the S9.

I still have not had the notification  since.

The 256gb evo+ select arrived so put it in, formatted in phone and no errors reported so far.

Card is known, tested and verified genuine so should be ok.

The sandisk ultra 128gb that was inside the S9+ then note9 that gave the corruption error, was plugged into PC to get files off,

139 pictures, 17 videos were corrupted, yet some of those files were played on S9+ a few days prior perfectly fine (holiday pictures and videos)

I also noted that 54gb of music files had not one single error.

So, only the DCIM/CAMERA folder had any kind of corruption, and totalling over 150 personal pictures or videos gone.

Luckily, my S9+ was set to backup in Google photos so they are not lost, just the videos.

The card has since been formatted and passed a H2testW full scan.

Something happened when switching the card from S9 to note9, but what exactly, is a mystery to me.
