I am planning on buying the 512GB micro SD card from Samsung but I am waiting until the price goes down because of Amazon the price is £182 for the 512GB while the 256GB is £49.90 so my question is how long will it take before the price of the 512GB version will go down because that is almost quadruple the price for double the storage, I understand it is new technology and that of course it will be more expensive because of that, but how long will it be before it becomes more affordable?

I recently bought the Samsung Duo Charger as it was on offer at half price @Rezia  and so was a great many other accessories on the Samsung Online Shop

That ended on the 31/12/18.

Samsung wouldn't comment when their next sale will be on I wouldn't think.

Have you perhaps googled for an outlet that's doing your choice of Sd card at a price you want to pay.

Amazon is another route.

Other manufacturers of Sd  card exist too to take into account.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

@Rezia: The pricing is similar on Samsung's official website, with the 512GB variant being significantly more expensive than the 256GB version. I can't speculate on any future changes to the pricing strategy I'm afraid, therefore you may wish to grab a couple of 256GB cards to make a saving.
