S pen

I have a note 9 and the top broke off of my S pen. I couldn't get it out but recently, I thought it may have fallen out without me noticing. I have placed a wooden kebab stick down the hole as I read this may be away of retrieving my S pen, but it goes right in the whole length of an S pen. Is there a way U can find out if it's still there or fallen out please?

Remove any third-party cases or covers.
Change the S Pen tip.
Try it with another compatible device.
Reboot your phone or tablet.
Check for software updates.
Change certain settings if the bottom of the screen does not recognize the S Pen.
