My battery has been the same as when I was on Oreo if not a tad better.

I think occasionally as we all use different apps they can use more battery if they are not fully optimised for the new update.

And of course our phones are all set up differently.

When did you update ?

Mine was end of Jan

Battery life is much worse and also I find the handset quite buggy - it's been really disappointing

I'm trying to get some battery stats to back up my suspicion

Yes getting stats and also using the Samsung Members app / Samsung + app to send error reports can help.

Clearing the phones system files cache can help.

Occasionally as a last resort back up and factory reset is an option.

Is the cache clearance worth a try? What's the best way to do that

Hi.

Power Off your phone.

Then when turned off completely please press and hold Volume Up, Bixy and Power buttons altogether.

Release all the buttons once the Samsung Logo appears on the screen.

Then use the Volume Up and Down button to navigate and Power button to select the Recovery Menu.

Choose the wipe cache file option.
