Gimbal for Note 9

Hi

First time posting on this community. I'm looking to purchase a good gimbal for my Samsung Note9. So far i've done some research around the DJI OSMO 2 and Zhiyun Smooth 4, both of which seem to be unsuitable for the Galaxy Note 9. 

I was hoping to get some direct feedback from forum members who have a Phone Gimbal + Note 9 setup and provide advise on what has or has not worked for them.

@Memmna: As this relates to a third party product I'm a bit limited in the support I can provide. I've heard good things about the DJI and Zhiyun models however you might also want to check out the gimbals by Evo and Neewer. They're intended to be universal so they won't match the dimensions of your Note 9 exactly, therefore I'd suggest is a try-before-you-buy approach where possible to avoid any disappointment.

Hello, my name is Joerg, i tried out the DJI OSMO mobile 2 and the Zhiyun smooth 4 . Both are not perfect, my major complaint about the gimabl is the zoom function wich i love a lot. The zoom speed and smoothness is very good when using the DJI in combination with "filmic pro" video app. 

The zoom speed and smoothness is not good when using the smooth 4 in combination with "filmic pro" video app, because the zoom choppy ( follow focus is perfect )!

So both are not satisfying for me. 

Talking about stabilization, both work very good and smooth !

Hi Memmna,

yes the gimbal is doing a perfect job in stabilization, i think the smooth 4 can do the same ( there are plenty comparsions on youtube too ) if zooming and follow focus is not important for you, i would recommend them both, just check your personal preferences and decide what's best for your demands!

hey, but will this gimbal be suitable/compatible for a mirrorless camera? Simply my parents decided to buy me a mirrorless camera and asked me what kind of mirrorless camera to take, by the way, will the gimbal of my Samsung S9 be compatible with the mirrorless camera?

Hey there, I would like to advise you Sony and my preferable gimbal such as Zhiyun Crane Plus or DJ Ronin SC they are perfect for Sony, personally for myself I chose Sony A 6000 with Zhiyun Crane Plus , in my opinion these two are perfect combination for a good photo. But you have to decide for yourself what what to choose.
