Hi,
I am getting the following error "Attention - An error has occured with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device." I have restarted my device repeatedly and factory reset my note9. Can someone please give me advice on how to correct the error.
Thanks

Factory resetting is probably the most in depth action you can do @Simnix59
Sometimes deleting the saved fingerprints and resetting back up can occasionally help.
I assume it's not been dropped or had moisture in it.
I think your avenues are now to visit a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre for a diagnostic.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hey @Simnix59
Are you still having issues?
Try a test on your phone. Go over to your dial pad and type in *#0*#, this will bring up a number of tests. Select Sensor, then scroll to FingerPrint Test and click on Normal Scan. Let us know the results.
Following that, if the test fails, then I'd recommend doing what @BandOfBrothers suggested by visiting a Support Centre.

Hi,
Tried the sensor test and it displayed "Fingerprint initializing failed". Bought the phone direct from Samsung, think I will give them a call and see what they say.
