Alarm sound is low - Uber driver job alert

I use my phone for Uber driver work. Before Jan 19 software update the uber job alert used to be quite loud but not anymore. In fact I missed some jobs when phone was not in my hands. I know the uber job alert uses alarm sound which I set to Max but still not as loud as it used to be previously.

This is the case with both S9+ and note 9. Any ideas to enhance alarm sound? Or is it due to some App causing this issue?

Uber job alert uses alarm sound. After the Jan 19 software update the alert sound is too low. This is not helping at all, I miss jobs if phones is not in hands. Any suggestions to enhance the alarm sound. I have already tried by setting at Max level.

Got galaxy S9+ working fine loud and everything with my uber driver app. Got and did the update today to 1.0 One UI version android version 9. My uber volume super low and the voice on the map sounds weird she sounds like an old smoker. And actually noticed my phones loud speaker or speaker when watching youtube or playing music even when in call and on loud speaker sounds messed up totally something got messed up after the updatr!

Is there an option to choose a different alarm sound that may catch your attention better ?

It might be worth just checking that no debris / lint has gotten into the speaker ports etc.

I am having exact same issue with my Note 9.  Began right after 9/Pie update rolled out for AT&T models.  If you haven't updated yet and you drive Uber, then don't.  I've tried near everything aside from wiping the phone and reinstalling OS.  I've tried turning up audio levels for alarm, using app that locked the alarm audio level, reinstalling app, do not disturb is off.

Fortunately the accessibility options of vibrate and flash are helping in the meantime.  At least I can hear/see something.

Try turning on vibrate/flash in accessibility section.  I'm having same problem and it's the only fix I've found.

I've also noticed the same problem with Lyft. And now the turn by turn directions in Uber are very quiet as well. Let's make sure they fix this one quickly and make sure you call and use their chat support as well to get this fixed on Samsung site

Just got a software update today(April 25th). My uber sound is back to normal.

I got an update today too but it's still quiet.  Did you get a note 9 Droid update or Uber update?
