USB-C to 3.5mm adapter

Is anyone having trouble using a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter on their Samsung devices?

I've got te S5e tab and the Note 20 Ultra and a proper Samsung adapter, as soon I connect a set of headphones to the adapter, I get a pop up message saying "USB Not Supported."

Looked online, can't find a definitive answer so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had trouble with an aux lead for my car. it was the right adapter. it just wouldn't work!

I've noticed this issue also! Only had the phone 1 day, I hope you don't need official samsung adaptors etc. Any luck as of yet?

I've also had this message and I'm having a nightmare finding one that's compatible with my s21 ... I'm gutted I've a cracking pair of on ears I can't use with my phone right now. I hope they sort it out.

I've had my phone since launch day and am using an official Samsung adapter, no joy.
I contacted Samsung support and they confirmed that this should work, and couldn't offer any advice as to why it isn't!

how annoying! I thought getting no plug with the phone was bad enough but now needing to but new adaptors! Thank you Dan

very annoying! I work in a phone shop, you can imagine how many customers complain to me that they don't get plugs and headphones in their £1000+ phones now!

you need adaptors with the correct chip or summit in it, not all adaptors work with the newer phones

it's the adapter Samsung provided with my S5e tab and it doesn't work in either device. if Samsung are providing it with their devices, you'd think they'd manage to put the correct one in the box?!
