I haven't recieved the update that includes sept 1st security patch yet on my Note 20 ultra. The patch downloaded on my Note 10 a few weeks back but still waiting for Note 20.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to force the download other than checking software updates in the settings?

Thanks

I received the update a couple of days ago on my N20 Ultra @cordy

Maybe try samsung smartswitch.

Updates are sent out in batches dependent on country and build and serial number.

Some UK Networks also like to hold back updates until they have tested them to ensure nothing clashes with their own network apps and software.

@Shnookerdookies

Would that possibly mean some features Vodafone provide like voLTE and Calling Over WiFi might be affected as you've taken the phone from their branded firmware ?

All that said I'm happy to hear you have the firmware.  :smiling-face:

Yes Vodafone Uk have a firmware statement clarifying how they deal with software updates @Shnookerdookies

vodafone.co.uk/Firmware-Explained.

They don't typically allow Samsung to push out updates to their branded phone's until they have tested it and made sure it does not clash with their network features.

This can sometimes delay updates but on the flip side I've also known branded phone's recieve updates faster than phone's supplied directly by Samsung  !

I can understand to a point. Can you imagine the backlash if an update broke something like Calling Over Wi-Fi as an example.

Sometimes the security patch is available via Settings > Biometrics and Security > Security Update.

I agree it's quite a time to wait but it's at Vodafone's end not Samsungs that's possibly delaying the update.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

I'm on O2 with my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G and i am yet to receive the update also.  My S10+ received the updates really quickly, around the 4-5th of the month and my Wife's A50 got the Samsung update about the same time.. yet mine... nothing..
