It was working earlier today and suddenly stopped working. Can't call or use data but the card works fine in Sim 2. I've tried cleaning the card etc but nothing seems to work. Haven't dropped the phone and can't think why it suddenly stopped working. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a known issue from sales from auction sites such as ebay that a person upgrades and then sells the upgrade to make money and then days or weeks later reports it as lost or stolen to which the network blacklists it and then supplies another under insurance.

You can check its status online.

One such site in the UK is https://www.checkmend.com/uk/

I hope I'm wrong @GraemeD

Before ejecting the sim card have you tried a soft reboot by turning your phone Off and On  @GraemeD  ?

Hi, yes. Rebooted and tried different sim in slot one and no joy, also tried the original sim in different phone and it worked fine. Phone is about a week or so old.

I've asked @GraemeD because I'm wondering if that sim slot as each has it's own imei number has been blacklisted which is usually due to it being reported as lost or stolen.

If so you can't get this lifted as the network that's applied it will only lift it for the original owner.

I hope I'm wrong but ebay purchases can end up with this outcome.

It worked fine up until today so you think someone may have reported it?

Yep, you were right. So now starts the process of returning it through Ebay.
