samsung note 20 ultra notification problem

Notification sound on messaging, 

just noticed after fiddling with the notification setting on messaging app...

Where it says "New message check", no matter how many times you turn it on, it turns off automatically.  I think that's the problem. I think it turns itself off when you get a new text.

I don't know how to fix it, but at least we know what the problem is!

You can swipe the notification when it appears to enter that notification setting, and you'll notice the desired notification highlighted for a second, then you'll be able to find what you want to do with it. I hope this helps.

thanks Abo3myr for helping, but still no luck.
since the last update something changed in messaging the " New message check" tab keeps turning of every time I get New message.

If you mean that the pop up notification of new message check keeps going away, then I think it's supposed to be like this. It pops up when checking then disappear after finishing the check and this roughly will be for few seconds. I actually turned off this one completely so I don't get message notification except when I get the message.
