S20+ camera and bootloader issue

Hi been having this new issue with my camera app where I click to open and it is like a black screen which then freezes (pictures attached), and when I try to wipe the cache partition I am unable to load it and on restart get a message "pdp backup fail setup-wizard finish"

Is there anyone can help with this as I have tried most things for both!

Could you run a quick test? Dial *#0*#, and then test the Mega Cam and Front Cam options 🙂

thanks for this, so i dialled the number outlined and both the mega cam and front camera seem to be working however the camera app still remains the same!

Hey again Imram!

Awesome! Doesn't seem like there's a hardware issue going on then.

Seeing as your clearing cache partition came back with an error, I'm gonna suggest performing a Factory Reset, as it sounds like a low-level firmware issue.

Before you reset your phone though, maybe try going into the App Info for Camera. Force Stop the app, clear the cache, and clear the app data. Try launching it again. If that doesn't solve the issue, try the reset.

Make sure you back everything up, note down your phone's passcode/PIN, and if you're using a microSD card, make sure it's unencrypted before you reset your phone.

okay so tried the above didnt work camera still the same however now occasionally when i accidentally open the camera by pressing bixby button twice it works for 1 minute then freezes and stops???

Sorry to hear you're still having issues after a reset. I'm gonna suggest contacting Samsung's Customer Services to book your phone in for an examination - sounds like your camera module might be dodgy or in need of a firmware update.
