I just bought a new Note Ultra with base 256GB of storage, but just starting it a realize it has around 31GB! Of base storage... why is that? And why so much?

Hello, the storage system usually occupies about 20 Gb. In your case these 31 Gb, which are System, or total occupied storage?

Your phone uses this amount for its Android OS software and gates some off for future updates @Bkuesky
