Galaxy Note20 SeriesI have a problem with note 20 ultra autofocus
most of times main camera doesn't auto focus (tough screen to focus also doesn't work) and result is blurry. but at the same time wide 0.5x and telephoto 5x works fine and auto focus works correctly. the ridiculous solution is a small knock to camera and auto focus start working also changing between video and camera can resolve issue temporary until the next time that you start the camera app i think autofocus issue in main camera only affect on far subject and about close subject i see the camera trying to auto focus
I think the issue appear after some updates . I cannot remember that before last update. also i remember the same problem before first update. the issue goes and come back after sequential updates

Galaxy Note20 SeriesI just discovered my Note 20 Ultra is doing the same thing. Check out this photo…the right side is clear the but the left is VERY blurry. It’s basically unusable when it’s happening. Restarting the phone doesn’t make a difference. The phone is mechanically not able to focus distant objects with the main lens. The wide angle & the telephoto are clear. This is VERY noticeable in video as the main camera image is cropped, even for 4K video, making the blurriness more clear. It’s also noticeable at 4x digital zoom. In the past, 4x digital zoom was very good making the transition from main camera to telephoto at 5x much less noticeable. Currently I can’t even do 2x digital zoom. This basically makes this phone useless for me. Very disappointed. Just saw Apple is giving $365 trade-in value for the Note 20 Ultra. That would be enough for me.

Galaxy Note20 SeriesI had my phone checked yesterday (good thing it's still under warranty). They had to replace the camera parts which will take 3-5 days bec there are no parts available. Sucks that I need to leave my phone

Galaxy Note20 SeriesSame "back focus" issue since day 1. Intended subject slightly out of focus and background in focus. My Note 9 shot 10x clearer pictures.

Galaxy Note20 SeriesI have had the same problem since months on my Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G 512Gb (Midnight Black) and I am clearly disgusted and disappointed with Samsung.
The autofocus is no longer the same as when I bought it and the photos / videos are blurry most of the time This defect is unacceptable!
Despite the incredible price of the product, they still have the nerve to leave customers with no solution. This is just despicable, because this phone is a little gem except for this flaw and the lack of battery life.
Thank's Samsung to react to this problem quickly, because many of us have noticed this defect and suffer from it!

I am pretty sure the "updates" made the camera sh*tty on purpose to force upgrades. I bought the phone for the nice camera, havnt even had it a full year and after these last few updates the camera has got worse. Can barely focus to take a picture.

Galaxy Note20 SeriesSo Samsung just gonna sit here quietly and not address the issue? It's not software it's hardware, a knock or jolt makes it work for a bit. So this started ski season 2019 for me only in the cold, then it got worse, my working theory is this, when I first got the phone if you lightly shook it it would make a slight rattle noise from the camera, only when on the main lens. Once it got cold that went away, since this camera has an optical lens meaning there are moving parts in there they must also be some kind of lubricant in there. In the cold most all lubricant gets more viscous and therfore harder to move. At this point it is old enough and cycled enough that the lubricant used is not up to par. That is why a jolt or smack will make it work for a little bit. Changing from one lens to another also work sometimes due to it making a larger change not a small precise one. This theory is worked out due to my experience in my occupation. I am an electrical engineer and very mechanical as well.
Just my thoughts, I also do thing that for a $1500 phone this is something Samsung should be looking into.

Galaxy Note20 SeriesThis is definitely a software issue. The previous update in August (ATT) introduced some camera glitch on the Note 20 ultra. What I find is that on regular 1x camera mode, it will not focus on objects further away if you first focus on something closer then move to something further away. However, if you zoom in past a certain point where it switches cameras, it will then instantly go into focus.
I have done all the basic troubleshooting (clear cache partition, clear cache), it does this same thing in safe mode.
SAMSUNG PLEASE FIX THIS.

Galaxy Note20 SeriesTmobile gave me a new note 20ultra 5g, well after they made me install all updates my phone sucks even more. Not only the camera won't Oak is on a lot of stuff anymore it's all hazy it's all is the blurry around the outside an outside of the middle of the picture I've tried everything to fix it everything I brought it to T-Mobile they tried couldn't fix it I had Samsung remotely go unremotely go into my phone and try the camera couldn't fix it nobody know. Not only that my phone now has trouble with Wi-Fi trouble with Wi-Fi I can never connect to anything if I'm on my Wi-Fi at home It's lagging very bad This phone literally sucks I paid $1300 for this phone 3 months ago and I had to get a new one and it's still it still has a problem. I love the note phones but I'm thinking of getting tgetting the S21. I used to be able to spot a bug on a tree a 1000' away and zoom in where I can actually see its feet I can't do that anymore I can't even zoom in to something that's 12' in front of me. Horrible
