Hello,
I mostly use the phone with a Bluetooth headset however I've noticed that when using without the headset, the proximity sensor works incorrect. I thought initially that is from the default protective layer and I've removed it.
When I am in call, not on speaker and if I move phone from my ear, mostly it will light the screen but if I move the phone slow, it stay blank, specially happens in low light or at night.
When I put the phone on my ear, almost every time the screen is turned off but sometimes it stay opened and there are accidentally button touches.
I compare it with my old Note 9 which was working flawless.
If I want to test I dial a number and put the hand over the top. Sometimes the display remains on.
Is this how it should work?
Can somebody replicate this?
Thanks

Hello
I have the exact same problem as described.
After all updates that were made, including new Android 11 bet 1-4, the problem still persists.
I have made several tests and I concluded that most probably it is a bad designed sensor....
What a shame!!!
