Google Pay not working after Beta ending

I stupidly enrolled in the Beta programme and all was fine (I only browse the Web and use Facebook and whatsapp) apart from my Google pay wouldn't work. It says rooted devices don't meet security standards. I have just done the official update as it says the Beta has come to an end and the Google Pay still doesn't work. Do I need to reinstall Android 12 the official version and if so how do I go about that? Many Thanks

make a backup and then try to do a restore

Some people are clearing the cache data of Google Pay, wherever that works or not, I'm unsure.

Hi. Some users have managed to sort this out by uninstalling the updates for the Google Pay app - although I'm not sure how that's done.
