Hi.

Week into owning note 20 ultra. Have noticed that for some weird reason when I using Google to search, the page I searched, parts of the screen  appear to flicker.

I get no flickering on any other app or chrome. Using the plain old Google and parts of the screen flicker.

I have cleared the cache in the app storage and reduced light display and the Google page I searched parts of the screen flicker.

Okay I found out what the problem is.
It was indeed an update. Specifically, an update to "Android System Webview".
If you go to Play Store and search for "Android System Webview", and uninstall it, you will notice the flickering has gone.

But you will also notice that the Google app doesn't scroll smooth anymore, and it behaves like 60hz mode. So it seems this update, which was meant to make the Google app smooth with 120hz mode, has caused a bug related to the refresh rate. I am sure they will release an update soon to fix this.

In the meantime, if you want to uninstall it you can. But Google will looks really laggy like 60hz. Personally, I will keep the update on, and wait for a new update.

Please everyone leave a comment in the Play Store so they can fix it!

Hi @Members_kjwP2FM

From a Forum Search I can see galaxy-s20-s20-s20-ultra/s20-ultra-internet-browser-page-flickers-on-search.

It appears some are having this issue when using the Samsung Internet App but not when using Google Chrome  !

Perhaps take a look at the link and try out any of the resolutions spoke about in the link.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I have the same issue in Google search, I've tried 60, 96 and 120hz and it always has some entries/images that flicker - especially when scrolling.

This is happening on my new Samsung S10+. Only Google search results are flickering, and only some of the results flicker, like the ones with images. I was worried my hardware was failing but it doesn't seem to happen anywhere else on my phone. I am glad other people are experiencing this too, but completely mystified as to what is causing it.

same issue here. i force closed the app, restarted the phone, factory reset my phone but the issue seems to persist and happens at both 60 and 120 Hz.
I really didnt expect this issue to occur within a week of owning the device...
i got in touch with samsung support and they said they are looking into this. I am expecting a call back from them... can update once they say something
