Can you clarify as your post is a bit confusing @swills9

You've posted in the Samsung Note 20 boards.

Your wording is about a s20 range.

Can you clarify which model you have and where your from i.e your region.

So as an example the Samsung Note 20 Ultra Samsung Uk supply has an esim.

The Samsung Note 20 Ultra I purchased from a a Hong Kong company does not have an e sim.

Samsung Note 20 Ultra from Samsung UK has e-sim capabilities.

Your Network would also have to support this and activate an e sim on their systems for you which they'd go through with you.

From what I can see @swills9 the 3 Network does support e sims.

See https://www.three.co.uk/support/sim-support/esim and so does ee although in their breakdown of eligible phone's the Samsung Note 20 Ultra isn't listed as supported.

From https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/getting-started-and-upgrading/setting-up-an-esim/what-is-an-esim

EE support e-sim as well. However, you need to wait for 6 months before they will allow you to use a SIM from another provider. This is because they will lock all mobile phones for the first 6 months. This practice will continue until the end of next year as all mobile providers have to issue unlocked mobile phones. Until then, EE still lock their mobile phones on contract.

Oh, I see. That is strange. Usually Samsung should have eSIM supported by default as it is stated on their website. Only EE in the UK is offering eSIM for mobile devices though. Other providers are only offering eSIM for Smart watches only.
