@emmyj88: Can you try heading to Settings > Biometrics and Security > Security Update to see if any updates are available that might address this issue? If not, please try Settings > Privacy > Permission Manager > Camera, and make sure that the Camera app is listed in the 'Allowed' section. Similarly, head to Settings > Apps > Camera > Permissions > Camera > Allow Only While Using The App. If the issue persists, open the Camera app > Tap the cog symbol > Reset Settings, then close the app. Open it again, and allow any permissions at this stage.
