Well that's nearly 2 weeks with the handset and the battery life has not improved as they said it would.
Shutting down this, changing that, turning off 5G, changing display settings .... nothing has made any real difference.
We're lucky in the UK having 28 days for returns but it would be nice if Samsung could acknowledge if they consider the widely publicized poor battery life as an actual issue and that they are working on a fix.
If nothing is going to be changed I'd be as well return the handset now and look for something else.
I'm not even sure if Samsung even read posts on their own forums, there's only one guy ever seems to respond but he's nothing to do with Samsung (apparently)

Unfortunately I've had more missed calls today. Can't go on like this. I had a call drop in a specific place a couple of times, put the sim in my Note 8 and everything was fine again.
I've sent an email requesting a collection and refund. Between this and the battery life this handset has been a waste of my time. Samsung aren't the same company they used to be.

Lucky you, I'm getting 4.5 to 5.5 hours SOT
It could just be a dodgy battery in this handset but I can't really be arsed getting a replacement and setting it up all over again to have exactly the same issue.

I'm fairly sure that some are doing this already, but I'll put it out there anyway so more people do it. 😉
If folks send log files and battery usage screenshots via Members app error reports, that'll hopefully give the developers some solid info to pore their eyes over and produce a fix.
Samsung Members > Get Help > Send Feedback > Error Reports > [select error type] > attach a description and tick ‘send system log data’ > Send.
(Or: Long-press the Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen, and select Error reports > [select error type] > attach a description and tick ‘send system log data’ > Send.)

True. I also get around 7 hours of screen on time. Most of the comparison videos I have seen so far tell the same story. They also say that depending upon your usage 10% may last for an hour. So if someone keeps watching videos or play games, 10% is got going to last longer. I have also seen the videos where people are using Snapdragon version and claiming 6 hours of screen on time.

I had the same issues initially but now I am getting avg 7 hours of screen on time. I am not using any power-saving mode. I watch YouTube, play games, browse the web, spend time on social media. My Bluetooth is always on as I use Galaxy Buds Live and I use S Pen a lot. I start at 100% every morning. By the time I sleep, I have around 15 to 20% left on my phone. I am using the Exynos version. I guess it takes some time for the battery to get settled.

Certainly would be beneficial if everyone affected sends log files and battery usage screenshots, so the developers have a detailed picture. As long as we get good information from the community and perhaps some members could pass on to others.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
