android auto , phone restarts /crashes when i plug the usb in for android auto

I dont know if its coincidence or not , but since the update yesterday,  as soon as i plug the usb in for android auto the phone crashed and restarts , and will keep doing this until i remove the usb, ive tried a new usb and android auto device , but with the same results,  has anyone else had this ? Thanks

a total factory wipe/ reset worked for me , probably a simpler solution , but on the plus side the phone is also faster now

Factory reset worked for me only once. Next day, the same problem... (Galaxy S9)

On Android forums, many people writing about this issue; but not only Samsung users. Many other manufacturers' phones have the same issue. It is caused by an update in last week. I wish Samsung have tried these updates better and then present to us...

yeah they are as bad as each other , i remember when apple released an update and it fried the wifi in my iphone . so far the reset still continues to work , but only until they fiddle around again no doubt .

yeah mine did the same just over 24hrs and its back to resetting , cant see me getting another samsung

got the same problem wake up a week ago plug my cell phone into the usb and android auto keep restart my phone can't figure what it is I reset my phone to factory setting didn't solve the problem reset de radio as well and didn't fix it ether don't know what the problem is

for anyone following, the problem came back about a day later .. samsung say its not a problem with the phone , and the software on the radio needs updating , the people who supplied the dongle gave me a link to update , but its the same as what i already have installed, so a bit of a stale mate atm
